Because Queer is Sexy
(Down for revision – stay tuned for announcements about the novella-length story of the Rent Boy and his lover.)
Searing, angry, gorgeous.
Raw and powerful depiction of heartbreak, heartache, and hope.
“You are full of emptiness’ – wonderful.
I love the little repetitions that give a lyrical syncopation to this piece. I’m wondering have you ever read it out loud? Might you consider doing it and posting to YouTube? I think it would be great to hear it as well as read it.
your writing is very stylized and has a intriguing quality – I loved androgynous angles and your staccato repetition. this piece has a hollowness to it, kind of emptiness that makes me feel for her. the light green on dark green is not easy for me to read.
The repetition and cyclical thought-to-action-to-thought is so well done here, it creates a tragic and beautiful atmosphere through the whole piece. I don’t know if I should be glad at the end or not, it’s so complicated and real. Nicely done.
This has such an aggressive voice.
Somehow I picture “Rent Boy” as a movie title…never heard that term before.
I would have liked to see some payback…but it definitely works.
Who brings a bouquet of black roses??? Deserves what he gets. 🙂
